Thrissur: Kerala confirmed 7 COVID-19 deaths on Saturday. As per latest reports, two persons from Thrissur and Kozhikode tested COVID positive after death.
Irinjalakuda native Tharayi Chandran a cancer patient, tested positive for COVID-19, after his death. Kozhikode Peruvayal native Rajesh (45) also succumbed to the virus infection.
Chandran, a lung cancer patient breathed his last on Sunday. He turned COVID positive in the test conducted after death. With this, the COVID death toll in Thrissur district touched 8.
At the same time, Rajesh was under treatment for kidney-related ailments at Kozhikode medical college. According to reports, Rajesh contracted the virus through contact.
Palakkad Vaniyamkulam native Sindhu (34) had succumbed to COVID-19 on Saturday morning. She, also a cancer patient, was under treatment at Palakkad district hospital. She had tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday. At the same time, her source of infection is not identified yet.
Malappuram Peruvallur native Koyamu (82), Pattambi Ongallur native Koran (80), socialist leader Alunkal Devassy (80) and Special branch SI Ajithan in Thodupuzha had also succumbed to COVID-19 on Saturday.
